July 12, 2008 by Richie Webb · 3 Comments

With the recent multimedia success in the form of the production of the hit movie Hancock, the media, producers, directors, stars, huge fans and everybody else who is somebody have been hinting, claiming, wishing, thinking and saying that there might be a Hancock 2 in mind to give a well made and expected sequel to this well deserved recent hit. It might be the best type of superhero movie yet since people are still swarming the movie houses and keeping the lines long enough to keep the tickets sold out every day and staying at the top of the box office list.

The movie Hancock revolves around a man named John Hancock, played by award winning actor Will Smith, who is a superhero who has save many people in the city where he lives in and more, until one day when he accidentally caused a major damage in the city while doing his thing, which somewhat made the people angry. Soon they started disliking Hancock and the superhero started to lie low. But when it seemed that everything pointed to the end of his superhero days, Hancock saved the life a politician who was later on so grateful that he wanted to encourage Hancock to go out as a superhero again.

Anyway, watch the movie to be able to know more. And if you haven’t watched it yet, then don’t miss it because there might be a Hancock 2 in the near future, and watching the first part is a must

Hancock Will Smith

July 12, 2008 by Richie Webb · Leave a Comment

In the latest hit movie Hancock Will Smith starred as the protagonist John Hancock who was a superhero known in the city where he lives in, already saving countless people using his powers from the time he was known, until one day he commits a mistake that led the people around him to immediately dislike him, which caused him to decide to lie low and not participate in the society again as a superhero. But a turn of unexpected events has led him to save the life of one person who, out of gratitude tries to convince Hancock to regain hill former status as one who uses his powers to help people.

Though in Hancock Will Smith played his role as the main character very well, it should not be taken in a way that this movie was the only one where he did well as an actor in the movie industry. As a matter of fact, one could say that the most probable reason why he was so good in the movie despite a poor script is because he has already had a lot of experience in the world of acting, which has allowed him to push to do better in every single movie he stars or casts in.

Among the other movies Will Smith has starred in include Men in Black and its sequel Men in Black 2 and many other movies that mostly people who watched the movie Hancock because he starred in it have already watched. For more information just check his acting history in the internet.

Now that the movie’s gone out and hit the big screens all over the world, which would seem to last for quite a while because it’s become so popular, the Hancock movie trailer can now be found almost anywhere and available for free public viewing. So for those people who enjoy watching trailers or collecting copies of them, they can now do so in the manner that they wish.

They can’t be found on the television sets anymore but they can be found much easier on the internet where it’s freely accessible without any charges and can be watched at anytime and as much as wanted without any charges.

There are actually those kinds of people who simply enjoy watching trailers such as the Hancock trailer. This is because some people look at this small yet attracted set of clips with the most important parts of a movie all molded into one exciting and effective promotional clip for the real thing as a piece of multimedia art as well. And the hobby of collecting and watching such trailers is for free because most producers don’t mind if trailers of their promotional videos are duplicated and distributed so that more and more people are exposed to it.

Trailers can also be found in the DVD releases, so when people buy the movie on home video that also get a copy of not only the trailer of the movie of the DVD but trailers of other movies as well for the viewer’s information.

Watched the Hancock Extended Trailer?

July 12, 2008 by Richie Webb · Leave a Comment

I’ve watched the Hancock extended trailer, and back then even if the movie wasn’t out yet I was already excited to watch it because the scenes in the trailer seemed nice. It gave me an idea as to what to expect from the full length film the moment it hits the big screens in my local cinema or movie house. Through the trailer I was able to make sure when the movie starts showing in the local theaters and it even told me that Will Smith will be starring as the lead role in the movie.

Generally this is what short video clips such as the Hancock trailer are supposed to do. Trailers are short video clips made up of a collection of scenes from a full length film, whether important or transitory, that are presented in a way that it gives the expecting audience a taste of what is in store for them when they finally get to watch the full version of the movie. Most trailers are short but they already give a lot of information on the movie, which attracts audience to watch it. Put quite simply, trailers are advertisements of movies that have been recently produced and will be available for public consumption soon.

But still, the trailer is not intended to replace the movie entirely. As a matter of fact, there are even people who watch the movie Hancock without even having to watch the trailer in the first place and they still enjoy it anyway.

Hancock 2?

July 5, 2008 by Richie Webb · 13 Comments

Is there going to be a Hancock 2? Well, it is not a surprise for a movie to have a sequel, most especially if the first movie is doing great in terms of its box office success. For the movie Hancock, the Independence Day viewing date strategy may have been a very good scheme to lift the movie’s gross up to the stratosphere. This movie by Sony, which showcases the acting prowess of Will Smith may be his 8th consecutive $100 million movie, a feat achieved by nobody else not even Tom Hanks or Tom Cruise. Hence, a part 2 may be close at hand.

The first Hancock anti-hero movie had practically left open a chance for another follow-up film. It is the story of a superhero that everybody loves to hate who is saving the world whether you like it or not. He is the careless, drunk and filthy Hancock, the exact opposite of your typical superhero who loves to save the world but with expensive consequences.

With its “untypical” concept and the resolution of that concept at the end of the movie, the film really leaves its viewers with a weird feeling and maybe a puzzled mind. The plot twists, which started from the later half of the movie created more questions, resolved fewer answers, and maybe made the audience a little bit annoyed. Although considerable amounts of comedy can save this action flick, it seems unavoidable that not everything will make sense in the end. Therefore, it is up for the men of Sony Pictures to produce a Hancock 2, who now have their fingers crossed hoping that this weekend’s earnings will continue to make the movie a hit.
